RUF Briquettes
A type of fuel briquette made from wood chips, sawdust or other wood waste. They are named after the German company RUF, which developed special equipment for their production. RUF briquettes are an efficient and environmentally friendly fuel that is widely used in both domestic and industrial applications to provide heat and energy.
Features:
- Shape and dimensions: Briquettes are rectangular in shape and usually measure 15cm × 6cm × 9cm
- Material: Made from wood waste (chips, sawdust, chips) under high pressure without using additional binders
- Density: High density (approximately 1000-1200kg/m³) ensures long burning and high calorific value
- Environmental friendliness: They are made of natural materials without chemical additives, which makes them an environmentally friendly type of fuel
- Ash content: Low ash content (up to 1%), which reduces the amount of waste after incineration
Usage:
- Heating private houses: They are used for heating private houses and cottages in stoves, fireplaces and solid fuel boilers.
- Industrial use: They are used at enterprises for heating industrial premises or for technological processes that require thermal energy.
- Public buildings: Used for heating public buildings (schools, hospitals, etc.) in regions where there is access to wood waste.
Advantages:
- High calorific value: Due to high density and low humidity, RUF briquettes have a high calorific value, which can reach 4.5-5.0kW/kg.
- Usability: Easy to transport, store and use. Briquettes are compact and take up less space compared to traditional firewood.
- Environmental friendliness: The production and burning of briquettes is less harmful to the environment compared to the use of fossil fuels.
- Combustion stability: Briquettes provide stable and uniform combustion, which is convenient for maintaining a constant temperature in heating systems.
